We contacted Gayle on the advice of a friend who attended a wedding which she had celebrated.  We truly could not have been happier with her professionalism and caring attitude.  Even our wedding guests commented on her charming manner.

Simon and I chose Gayle O'Leary-Barlow to be our wedding celebrant as I had met Gayle initially as a business contact.  I am also in the wedding industry and therefore I know the importance of being reliable and providing a professional service for people's weddings as they are a very special event to all involved.

When I first met Gayle she struck me as a genuinely lovely person who was very passionate about her work.  I liked her instantly and therefore contacted her immediately some 6 months later to see if she was free for our wedding on 15 October 2005.  Luckily she was available.  Gayle organised to meet with us as a couple as soon as was required in order to commence our paperwork and apply for our marriage licence and go over our ceremony.  This was a load off our minds as Gayle took care of all of the legal side for us and gave us a wonderful booklet to read which had all of the information we needed to know about how a wedding ceremony is put together and what wording is legally required.  Thankfully this also gave us options and ideas of what to say to each other during the ceremony as I had no clue about this side of things either.  All I knew was that I wanted something loving and personal and to mention our friends and family through the ceremony.  Gayle's booklet provided the perfect wording and all I had to do was email her our final selection of wording and verses. 

On the big day I was quite nervous as we arrived for the ceremony.  Gayle met me at the car and explained how everything was going to proceed.  Her calm manner and professionalism really helped to settle my nerves and I was able to enjoy what was to come.  As Gayle wears a microphone, everyone could hear the words we had chosen for her to say and therefore people stayed involved in our ceremony.  All of our guests commented on how professional Gayle was and how great it was to be able to hear everything - unlike some weddings they had been to.  I couldn't be happier with how the ceremony went and I would gladly recommend Gayle to anyone who wants a smooth and professionally run ceremony with someone who really cares about what she is doing.

For Dean and I, finding a celebrant was difficult, we had no idea where to begin! While at a Bridal Expo we began our search and had spoken to a couple of prospective celebrants, but we weren't entirely impressed. Then we met you Gayle and knew straight away that we wanted you to marry us, having made arrangements then and there to meet you a couple of weeks later to discuss our wedding.

We were looking for someone young, relaxed yet professional and Gayle you were all of that and more!

You had some really great and different ideas of incorporating our family into our ceremony, things we hadn't even thought about, yet it made all the difference to our day. Being able to include our step-parents into our ceremony meant so much to us and I know meant so much to them - they were really quite surprised being called up to be witnesses on our wedding certificate!

And, it was all of those small things you did - the beautiful signing table and chairs that you brought along (one less thing for us to have to think about organising!), the booklet with all of our words you gave us to keep and remember the day, the advice and assistance you gave us with our wording, guiding the boys on the day and using a microphone (our guests all commented on how nice it was to be able to hear the entire ceremony).

Gayle, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you to anyone, I think you probably already know that having been a celebrant at our friends wedding in March 2006 - Rachel and Damien, and also to our friends wedding Melanie and Matt later this year.
